Hadaff includes social features — following, messaging, and shared activity — that only work if people treat each other with respect. These guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed, and what happens when someone breaks them. They apply everywhere on Hadaff: messages, profiles, and anywhere you can post or send content to another user.
1. Messaging Someone For the First Time
If you message someone who doesn't already follow you, it arrives as a message request instead of a normal chat. They have to accept it before a real conversation opens, and they can decline it — silently, with no notification to you — at any time.
- You can send one text message as your request. You can't attach photos, videos, or voice messages until the other person accepts — this is intentional, so a stranger's first contact with you can't be an unsolicited image, video, or audio file.
- To limit spam and mass-messaging, there's a daily cap on how many new message requests one account can send to people who don't already follow them. If you hit it, further requests are held back until it resets.
- Blocking someone immediately stops them from messaging you, following you, or viewing your profile.
2. What's Not Allowed
The following are never allowed anywhere on Hadaff, including in private messages:
- Spam or mass messaging — sending the same or similar unsolicited content to many people, automated or scripted messaging, or using message requests to advertise, scam, or phish.
- Grooming or sexual harassment — sexual content directed at another user, sexualizing a minor in any way, or persistent unwanted sexual attention after being asked to stop.
- Sexual content — sexually explicit images, video, or text sent without consent, or at all involving anyone who is or appears to be under 18.
- Harassment or bullying — repeated unwanted contact, targeted insults, humiliation, or coordinated pile-ons against another user.
- Threats — threatening violence, harm, or retaliation against a person, their family, or their property.
- Hate speech — attacking, demeaning, or inciting hatred against someone based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
- Illegal content — anything that is illegal to possess, distribute, or send under German or EU law, including child sexual abuse material, which is reported to the relevant authorities the moment we become aware of it and is never limited to an in-app response.
- Terrorist and violent extremist content — praising, supporting, recruiting for or glorifying terrorist organisations or attacks, instructions for making weapons or explosives, and calls to violence. On a removal order from a competent authority, such content is removed within one hour (Regulation (EU) 2021/784).
- Photos and videos of others without consent — posting, sharing or sending images in which another person can be recognised without their consent, especially secret recordings, recordings in private situations or ones that expose someone. The person shown can report it with the reason "Photo or video of me without my consent"; we usually remove it.
- Impersonation or fake accounts — pretending to be someone else, or creating an account to deceive or evade a block.
3. Reporting
Every profile, post, reply, story and single chat message has a Report option; without an account, use hadaff.de/report-content. You can pick a reason — someone may be in danger, spam, sexual content, harassment, threats, hate speech, photo or video of me without my consent, illegal content, impersonation, or something else — with optional details. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 first. We tell you our decision by email. You do not need to be right about the exact category; we sort and review every report ourselves.
- Reports go into a review queue and are read by a real person — Hadaff does not auto-remove content or auto-ban accounts from an automated scan, precisely because that approach gets things wrong in both directions. Some technical signals are automatic: rate limits (like the message-request limit in Section 1), an AI pre-check of new public posts and replies and of Hadi's answers that flags possible violations for a moderator, and a risk score for accounts that look like spam, which can tighten rate limits for 24 hours. Any removal or account-level enforcement is a human decision.
- Reporting someone does not notify them that you reported them.
- You can also reach us directly at support@hadaff.de for anything urgent, or anything a report form doesn't capture well — including child-safety concerns, which we treat as the highest priority.
4. Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may:
- Remove the reported content
- Warn the account
- Temporarily restrict an account's ability to message or follow new people
- Permanently disable an account
- Report the account and relevant evidence to law enforcement, where the content is illegal (in particular anything touching child safety), and always where there is a suspicion of a criminal offence that threatens a person's life or safety, such as a credible threat to kill or harm someone or a planned attack (Art. 18 Digital Services Act)
We aim to act proportionately, but we prioritize the safety of the person being targeted over convenience for the account causing harm. Repeated or severe violations lead to a permanent ban without further warning.
5. Appeals
If your account was restricted or disabled and you believe it was a mistake, contact support@hadaff.de with your username and we'll review it personally.
6. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these guidelines as Hadaff's community grows and new situations come up. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
