Welcome to Hadaf. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use the Hadaf app at hadaff.de and the native app.

2. What Data We Collect
Account & Profile Data
- Email address – used for login and account identification
- Full name – entered during registration
- Age – entered during registration
- How you heard about us – optional question during setup
- Push notification token – only if you enable notifications
- IP address – automatically transmitted when loading app resources
App Usage Data (stored in your Firebase account)
- Quran reading progress – which Surah and page you last read, so you can continue where you left off
- Habits – the name, color, icon, and full daily completion history of every habit you create
- Streak data – your daily consistency record and current streak count
- AI chat history – all messages you send to and receive from Hadaf AI (Hadi), stored in your account so you can continue conversations across sessions and devices
Local Device Data (never sent to our servers)
- Theme preference (dark / light / system) – saved only in your browser's localStorage on your device
3. Why We Collect This Data
We collect this data solely to provide and improve the Hadaf app:
- To create and manage your account
- To sync your Quran progress, habits, and streak across devices
- To save your AI chat history so you can pick up conversations where you left off
- To send you reminders and notifications (only if you enable them)
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use any tracking or analytics tools.
4. AI Chat Data
When you use the Hadaf AI feature ("Ask Imam / Hadi"), the messages you send are:
- Transmitted to OpenAI's API in real time to generate a response
- Stored in your Firebase Firestore account so you can view and continue your chat history at any time
Please do not share sensitive personal information in the AI chat. You can delete all your chats at any time directly from within the app without deleting your account.

Your account data is stored as long as your account is active. This includes your profile, habits and their history, Quran reading progress, streak data, and AI chat history.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete Account). Upon deletion, all your personal data stored in Firebase will be permanently removed.
You can also delete only your AI chat history at any time from within the chat screen without deleting your account.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
As a user in the European Union, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to correct inaccurate data
- Right to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict or object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. Children's Privacy
Hadaf requires users to be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without the permission of the parents. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
