Al-ʿAfūw is one of the 99 most beautiful names of Allah (al-Asma al-Husna) and means "The Pardoner". He erases sins completely. For Laylat al-Qadr the Prophet ﷺ taught: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa fa'fu 'anni (at-Tirmidhi).

Al-ʿAfūw in the Quran
فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَعۡفُوَ عَنۡهُمۡۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورٗا ﴿٩٩﴾
Faolaika ʿasa Allahu an yaʿfuwa ʿanhum wakana Allahu ʿafuwwan ghafooran
