Athkar and supplications (dua)
Athkar (adhkar) are the words of remembrance of Allah that the Prophet ﷺ said at particular times: morning and evening, before sleeping, after prayer, when travelling and in daily life. Every collection here is in Arabic, transliteration and English, with its source.
Morning Athkar أذكار الصباحThe morning athkar are said after the dawn prayer (Fajr) until sunrise, and according to many scholars until late morning.
Evening Athkar أذكار المساءThe evening athkar are said after the afternoon prayer (Asr) until sunset, and according to many scholars into the first hours of the night.
Athkar before Sleep أذكار النومThese supplications are said in bed before falling asleep.
Athkar after Prayer أذكار بعد الصلاةThese athkar are said right after the closing salam of every obligatory prayer.
Dua after the Adhan أذكار الأذانOne repeats the words of the muezzin and says these supplications after the call to prayer.
Dua for Wudu أذكار الوضوء"Bismillah" before ablution, the other supplications after completing it.
Dua for Entering the Mosque أذكار المسجدWhen entering the mosque, with the right foot first.
