Al-Muḥyī in the Quran
لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ ﴿٢﴾
Lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi yuhyee wayumeetu wahuwa ʿala kulli shayin qadeerun
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent
Calling upon Allah by this name
Allah says: "And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing" (Quran 7:180). In supplication you call upon Allah by the name that suits your need.
