Iqtarabati alssaʿatu wainshaqqa alqamaru
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]
Wain yaraw ayatan yuʿridoo wayaqooloo sihrun mustamirrun
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic
Wakaththaboo waittabaʿoo ahwaahum wakullu amrin mustaqirrun
And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement
Walaqad jaahum mina alanbai ma feehi muzdajarun
And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence
Hikmatun balighatun fama tughnee alnnuthuru
Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]
Fatawalla ʿanhum yawma yadʿu alddaʿi ila shayin nukurin
So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding
Khushshaʿan absaruhum yakhrujoona mina alajdathi kaannahum jaradun muntashirun
Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading
Muhtiʿeena ila alddaʿi yaqoolu alkafiroona hatha yawmun ʿasirun
Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day
Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin fakaththaboo ʿabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira
The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled
Fadaʿa rabbahu annee maghloobun faintasir
So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help
Fafatahna abwaba alssamai bimain munhamirin
Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down
Wafajjarna alarda ʿuyoonan failtaqa almao ʿala amrin qad qudira
And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined
Wahamalnahu ʿala thati alwahin wadusurin
And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails
Tajree biaʿyunina jazaan liman kana kufira
Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied

And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember
Fakayfa kana ʿathabee wanuthuri
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

Inna arsalna ʿalayhim reehan sarsaran fee yawmi nahsin mustamirrin
Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune
Tanziʿu alnnasa kaannahum aʿjazu nakhlin munqaʿirin
Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted
Fakayfa kana ʿathabee wanuthuri
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning

They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar
