Ramadan 2027 in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra: sehri and iftar times

In India Ramadan begins when the moon sighting committees (Ruet-e-Hilal) and imams announce the crescent, so regions sometimes start a day apart. Saudi Arabia's Umm al-Qura calendar starts Ramadan on Monday, February 8, 2027, but on the evening of February 7 the new crescent is less than a day old and unlikely to be seen over India, so the first fast is expected on Tuesday, February 9, 2027. Follow the official announcement.

On February 9 iftar (Maghrib) in Pimpri-Chinchwad is at 6:32 PM; on the last fast (March 9) it is at 6:43 PM.

At the start of Fajr (imsak): 5:51 AM on the first day and 5:36 AM on the last. Many timetables set imsak about ten minutes earlier as a precaution, so it is wise to finish eating in good time.

Between 12:41 hours on February 9 and 13:07 hours on March 8. Ramadan 2027 falls in February and March, so the fasts are fairly short and comfortable, and get a little longer each day.

Expected on Wednesday, March 10, 2027: if Ramadan starts on February 8 it has 30 days, because the Shawwal crescent is only a few hours old on the evening of March 8; if it starts on February 9 it ends after 29 days when the moon is seen on March 9. If the moon is missed that evening, Eid is on March 11. The Eid prayer is in the morning after sunrise (in Pimpri-Chinchwad the sun rises at 6:47 AM that day), and zakat al-fitr (fitrana) is paid before it.
