A dua from the Quran
هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُۥۖ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبۡ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةٗ طَيِّبَةًۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ ﴿٣٨﴾
Hunalika daʿa zakariyya rabbahu qala rabbi hab lee min ladunka thurriyyatan tayyibatan innaka sameeʿu aldduʿai
At that, Zechariah called upon his Lord, saying, "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication

Sunnah after birth
- Saying the adhan in the baby's ear is practised by many Muslims.
- Tahnik: softening a date and rubbing it on the baby's palate (al-Bukhari, Muslim).
- Choosing a good name.
- The aqiqah on the seventh day, shaving the hair and giving its weight in silver as charity (Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi).
