Surah Al-Qadr in Arabic and English
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ﴿١﴾
Inna anzalnahu fee laylati alqadri
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ ﴿٢﴾
Wama adraka ma laylatu alqadri
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ ﴿٣﴾
Laylatu alqadri khayrun min alfi shahrin
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ ﴿٤﴾
Tanazzalu almalaikatu waalrroohu feeha biithni rabbihim min kulli amrin
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter
سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ ﴿٥﴾
Salamun hiya hatta matlaʿi alfajri
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn
