Islamic wedding wishes and the nikah dua
The Prophet ﷺ taught a special dua for congratulating newlyweds. Start with it, then add your own words.
The Sunnah dua for the newlyweds
بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ
Barakallahu laka, wa baraka alayka, wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr
May Allah bless you, shower His blessings upon you and join you together in goodness. (Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi)
Wedding wishes
Barakallahu lakuma wa baraka alaykuma wa jama'a baynakuma fi khayr. Congratulations on your nikah! 🤍
May Allah make your marriage a source of tranquillity, love and mercy, as He promised.
Congratulations! May your home be filled with Quran, laughter and barakah.
May Allah make you a coolness of the eyes for each other and bless you with righteous children.
Mabrook on your nikah! May you complete half of your deen and help each other with the other half.
May Allah unite you in this world and in Jannah. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
A verse to share
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنۡ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنۡ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا لِّتَسۡكُنُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيۡنَكُم مَّوَدَّةٗ وَرَحۡمَةًۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
Wamin ayatihi an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwajan litaskunoo ilayha wajaʿala baynakum mawaddatan warahmatan inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona
And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought
Quran 30:21 · Surah Ar-Rum
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٖ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا ﴿٧٤﴾
Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana hab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatina qurrata aʿyunin waijʿalna lilmuttaqeena imaman
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous
