- What is the difference between ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim?
How Hadi answers
Hadi explains the verse in plain words, mentions the context of revelation where it is known, and refers to classical tafsir such as Ibn Kathir, at-Tabari or al-Qurtubi. Where the scholars differ, it presents the main views.
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease
Quran 94:5-6 · Surah Ash-Sharh
Question: Why does Allah say "with hardship comes ease" twice?
Hadi: Many scholars of tafsir noted that "the hardship" is definite in Arabic (al-usr) and refers to the same hardship both times, while "ease" (yusr) is indefinite and so refers to two different eases. This is why it was said that one hardship will not overcome two eases.
