Surah al-Kahf every Friday
Reading Surah al-Kahf on Friday is one of the best-known weekly Sunnahs. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
The virtue
Whoever reads Surah al-Kahf on Friday, a light will shine for him between the two Fridays.
al-Hakim and al-Bayhaqi, graded sahih by al-Albani
Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surah al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal.

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَلَمۡ يَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَاۜ ﴿١﴾ قَيِّمٗا لِّيُنذِرَ بَأۡسٗا شَدِيدٗا مِّن لَّدُنۡهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرًا حَسَنٗا ﴿٢﴾
Alhamdu lillahi allathee anzala ʿala ʿabdihi alkitaba walam yajʿal lahu ʿiwajan Qayyiman liyunthira basan shadeedan min ladunhu wayubashshira almumineena allatheena yaʿmaloona alssalihati anna lahum ajran hasanan
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance [He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward

When to read it
From sunset on Thursday until sunset on Friday, since the Islamic day begins at Maghrib.
How to never miss it
- Split it up: 110 verses, about 11 pages. Read three to four pages after Fajr, Dhuhr and Asr on Friday.
- Set a weekly reminder for Friday morning.
- Listen to it on the way to Jumuah if reading is hard.
- Learn its four stories: the people of the cave, the owner of the two gardens, Musa and al-Khidr, and Dhul-Qarnayn. They are about trials of faith, wealth, knowledge and power.
